Halloween

Eric was a dinosaur for Halloween.  He was going to go in his PJ's but it was too cold.  This is the only costume he would wear because it did not go over his head.  He does not like things to go over his head.

Eric with his Elmo trick or treat basket.

Waiting patiently at the first house...

When the door was opened Eric would say tricky tricky.  He could not quite say trick or treat.  Then he would say thank you and we would go.  We only planned on going to 5 or so houses but he really enjoyed it so we went around the whole neighborhood.

Eric does not know what candy is but quite enjoyed moving it from one bucket to another and squeezing the wrappers.  He really seemed to enjoy his first time trick or treating.  Thank you Grandpa Bob for the pictures.

Eric testing out his Halloween costume before the big night.

We wanted to see how Eric would do walking around in his costume so we let him try it out in the back yard.  He did not really seem to notice.

Big Boy Bed

We have had Eric in a Big Boy Bed for almost a month now and he is doing very well.  He usually only gets out of bed one time right after we put him to bed because he wants to look at books or he wants to be rocked.  After we spend a few more minutes with him and put him to bed the second time he stays in bed.  He climbs in all by himself and then says tuck tuck.  He likes to be tucked in with his blanket and then he tells us to go shower and bye bye.  He says this because I always tell him I am going to shower and get ready for bed.  Now he tells me to do it before I tell him.  He is so cute..
Last Friday I was trying on maternity clothes at the mall with Eric and he saw my belly button which is popped out and looks like a button.  He thought it was very funny and now always asks me to see the button.  He likes to push it and laugh.  I have also told him that mommy has a baby in her tummy and now he says hi baby and waves and likes to cuddle with my belly.  He has a very good memory and does it without me telling him anymore.

Fountain

Eric loves to play with his fountain during bath time.  In this video he says fountain and he also says naked over and over.  He thinks it is funny to be naked. :-)

Hippo

Eric loves his hippo.  If you listen carefully you can hear him say train, plane, hippo, doggie, night night and my favorite his name for himself.... Ekit. :-)

The Park

Eric loves to go to the park.  His favorite thing to do is swing.  We count 3...2...1 blast off and then I let him swing.  He thinks it is great!!  He asks to go faster and he also says wee while he swings.  Eric also likes to sing his ABC's, count to six, and look for planes while he is swinging.

Outside

He looks like a pitcher in this picture.

Eric loves to be outside anytime he can be.  His favorite things to do in the yard are to bring toys to Frank, throw and kick balls and his number one favorite is to peel the bark off this tree.    He is in deep concentration and it is very difficult to get his attention.  Very funny.

The Zoo...

Grandma Susan and Eric looking at Elephants.  Just like the pumpkin patch it was very difficult to get Eric to look at the camera for any picture or video because he was so interested in the animals.  Eric liked to wave to the animals and say hello.  When he was finished looking he would wave and say bye bye, see ya.  He is very funny!

Eric and Daddy looking at spider monkeys.

 Grumpy Gorilla
 Lazy Gorilla
 Silly Orangutan
If you look carefully you can see the Kangaroo standing up has a baby in her pouch.  The feet and tail are hanging out.  We were wondering how the baby could breathe?

Gorillas

If you listen carefully you can hear Eric say monkey and make a monkey noise.  He really enjoyed looking at all the animals at the zoo.

Bobby

About a week ago Eric started saying "Bobby" eventhough Bobby had never heard him say it.  Uncle Bobby came over on Saturday night and he and Eric had a lot of fun together.

Ha Ha Ha...

I recently changed out all the books on Eric's shelf for October and when I left the room for a minute to get his toothbrush wet Eric picked out this particular book and was opening and closing the back cover saying ha ha ha over and over.  Daddy and I thought it was funny so I got the video camera out the next time we looked at the book.
Eric is wearing his glow in the dark PJ's that Grandma Susan bought him.  I think they might also be his Halloween costume for this year.  Eric is not into hats or hoods and most of the costumes have things that go over the head.  Last year he wore his monkey costume for about 10 minutes before it came off so this year PJ's will double for his costume.  He does not really understand Halloween yet anyway.

Handsome in New Boots

On the way home from the pumpkin patch we bought Eric some new boots for winter.  He is size 5 1/2 wide.  I just thought he and daddy looked so handsome so I had to take their picture.

Eric's first dentist appointment went very well.  The dentist said that everything looked great.  Eric loved the office and did not want to leave because there were so many fun things to play with.  He got a stuffed puppy to take home with him for being good during his exam from the office.
This weekend we changed Eric's crib into a toddler bed and he did very well yesterday during nap time and last night.  He is growing up so fast.
