Little E Week 24
Little E is growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts him at just over a pound. He is kicking more and more each day. He either loves or hates American Idol as he moves the entire time the show is on.
Since he's almost a foot long (picture an ear of corn), he cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but his body is filling out proportionally and he'll soon start to plump up. His brain is also growing quickly now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world.

23 Weeks
Eric is becoming more and more active every day!!!
He is able to feel me dance and listen to music. Eric is more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango). Blood vessels in his lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that Eric's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing him for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as Frank barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze him when he hears them outside the womb.

Registry
Big E and I registered at the following locations for Little E:
- Restoration Hardware Baby & Child (Baby Bedding) http://www.rhbabyandchild.com
- Babies R Us http://www.babiesrus.com
- Target http://www.target.com/
- Pottery Barn Kids http://www.potterybarnkids.com
My girlfriend Amanda who just had a baby boy named Logan in September helped Big E and I register. If you see anything we left off or anything we registered for that you would suggest we remove for something else please let us know. This is our first baby so we are not experts.
22 Weeks
We are entering the 6th month. Little E is moving more and more each day.
At 11 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash) and almost 1 pound (length and weight of normal 22 week baby according to Baby Center), Little E is starting to look like a miniature newborn. I think he is bigger than the average baby as my belly is pretty large!!
His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. Inside his belly, his pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily.

Furniture for Eric
Here is the furniture that we are planning to purchase for Little E. We are getting the crib in espresso, the dresser with 6 drawers instead of the 3 and the cupboard, the hutch, the night stand, and the rails to make the crib into the bed shown at the top.
This bed is neat because it will make a toddler bed as well as the full size bed shown at the top.
We also plan to purchase a glider but I am waiting on a sheet that I ordered from the bed set to arrive so that I can be sure to get a matching color.
Eric 21 Weeks
Eric now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long — the length of a carrot. He feels like he's practicing martial arts as his initial fluttering movements have turned into full-fledged kicks and nudges. Eric's dad got to feel his kicking for the first time last night around 10:30pm. It has become strong enough to feel from the outside now!! I have started to see a pattern in Little E's kicking. He likes to kick me while I drive in the car, around 10:30PM at night and also around 4:00AM.
