1st Bottle Feeding

We left Sydney and Little E both with my parents for the first time on Sunday for 3 hours so that Eric and I could go see a movie.  We saw Limitless (which was pretty good).  My dad fed Sydney her first bottle of pumped milk and she did great!  We are going to make sure we use a bottle of pumped milk fairly regularly with her since we had such a hard time getting Eric to take a bottle when I tried to go back to work.

Sleeping Beauty

13 days old.....  Sydney weighs 8 lbs 5 ounces and is 21 1/2 inches long.  She is doing great!!  We are still working on the sleep schedule.

Eric has excellent hand eye coordination and was able to sit and concentrate long enough to thread the whole string.

While shopping, Eric forms attachments to things (...a bag of clementines, a book, a box of lasagna) that he does not like to give up at the register or when he takes his nap.  Very funny little guy.

10 days old

Sydney is wearing a onesie that Maci made and gave me as a shower gift.  She is so sweet!

Eric did not used to like bananas but has recently decided they are okay to eat if he eats them like a monkey with the peel on.  He is very funny!!!

1 Week Old

Sydney is 1 week old today.  She is a really good baby.  She does not cry much and sleeps pretty well.  She just has had her days and nights confused which we are slowly correcting.  Today is one of the first days she is really opening her eyes and looking around.  The weather is in the 70s today so I put her in this cute little newborn dress that Julie bought her.  She looks adorable in it!!

Sydney Arrived!!!

I went into labor around 1:30AM on Friday 3/11/11 with stomach and back cramps.  They turned into contractions around 5:30AM and we made it to the hospital around 7:15AM after dropping Eric off at school.   Sydney was born at 9:05AM by C-Section.  She was early but still weighs 7lbs 7oz.  This labor was definately easier and much faster.

With both of my little ones I went into labor around 1:30AM on a Friday morning.

Grandpa Bob with baby Sydney and Eric.  Grandpa Bob and Grandma Amy watched Eric for 3 nights while we were in the hospital and then 1 night while we adjusted at home.

Baby Shower

Mommy and Little E.  He is getting so Big.  On the day of the baby shower he turned 21 months.

Julie did such a wonderful job planning the baby shower.  Look at all the beautiful food!!

Maci found time to make this for Sydney even though she is due any day now with her little boy.

We had a wonderful time and everyone was very generous.  We are now well prepared for Sydney!!

She should make her appearance very soon.
